After Christmas, we going out on a two-night Mystic Connecticut trip to explore some of the most preferred attractions.

Mystic, Connecticut, technically a village in Connecticut, is situated right over the Rhode Island border. It’s about an hour & a half from Boston, & is located on the Amtrak Northeast Area route.

The main interest is Mystic Seaport, one of the most well-known sites to visit in all of Northeastern for its glimpse into the region’s very long love affair with the sea.

Mystic was a middle of shipbuilding since the very first colonial times, but truly came into its own between the Innovative War and World War I, when much more than 600 ships were developed there.

Olde Mistick Village

Upon arriving at our hotel room, we immediately headed out to Olde Mistick Village, an outside shopping complex with quaint separate shops & restaurants. There’s also a smaller independent cinema.
